How to Reset Camera Permissions on Your Browser (Chrome and Safari)
If your browser cannot access your camera because permissions were blocked or denied, follow these instructions to reset the permissions and allow access again.

For Chrome: Option 1 (Updating single site permission)
Via the toggle icon located to the left of the URL address bar (top left of your web browser).

- Click the toggle "View Site Information" icon in the address bar on the left.
- Locate Camera Permissions (if Blocked, this means you previously denied access to your camera).
- Change the Setting to Allow:
- Click the dropdown menu, or the toggle next to Camera
- Change the setting to ‘Allow’
- Reload the Page: The website should now have access to your camera.
For Chrome: Option 2 (via Chrome Settings)
- Open Chrome Settings:
- three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner ➝ Settings
- Privacy and Security (in the left-hand menu) ➝ Site Settings
- or go directly to chrome://settings/privacy
- Find Camera Permissions:
- scroll down to Permissions ➝ Camera

- Under the "Blocked" section, you will see a list of websites that have been denied camera access.
- Reset Permissions for a Specific Site:
- Click on the Delete icon for the site from the "Not allowed to use your camera" list.
- Or Click the site you want to reset permissions for ➝ under the "Permissions" section for that site, locate Camera and change it to Allow.
- Reload the Page you are trying to access: The website should now have access to your camera.
For Safari: Option 1 (For specific site, via Refresh icon located in the address bar on the right)
- Use so-called Secondary click or Right-click (by default: click or tap with two fingers) on the Page refresh icon on the address bar ➝ Settings for ...
- Find Camera dropdown ➝ Change to ‘Ask/Allow’
- Reload the Page: The website should now have access to your camera.
For Safari: Option 2 (via Safari Settings)
- Open Safari ➝ click on Safari in the top menu bar ➝ Settings (or Settings for ...)
- Websites tab ➝ Camera on the left-hand sidebar.
- Change the dropdown next to the website to ‘Allow’ or ‘Ask’. To reset permissions for all websites, select ‘Remove All’ or change the default setting in the bottom-right corner to ‘Ask’.
