Placing a VALLON Rx orderUpdated 3 months ago

How do I order Rx (prescription) glasses from VALLON?

Have your glasses prescription to hand. We recommend you visit an optician/optometrist before ordering to ensure that you have your most up-to-date glasses prescription, and then follow these steps:

  • Place your order for a VALLON Rx (prescription) product
  • Receive an email from us with a request for your glasses prescription
(Note: the only corrections that are taken into consideration are the Spherical and Cylindrical (astigmatism) corrections).
  • Reply back to our email with your glasses prescription attached
  • Receive your new VALLON Rx (prescription) product within 30 days of order approval

What type of prescription is needed?

Your glasses prescription must be up to date, with the pupillary distance (DP) measured and stated. (Please note, we cannot use contact lens prescriptions).

The most common format for prescription worldwide is TABO. However, some countries including Italy, Switzerland and France use a prescription format called INT. For VALLON prescription orders, we ask all customers to ensure that their prescription is measured in TABO format. If you have an INT prescription, you can easily bring it to your optician to be transferred to the TABO format

Can you use my contact lens prescription to make my glasses?

No, contact lens prescriptions cannot be used to create VALLON Rx (prescription) sunglasses.

How long will it take to receive my prescription order?

VALLON Rx (prescription) orders can take up to 30-days to be delivered.

Once your prescription has been submitted and approved by our prescription partner, we will start manufacturing your sunglasses. Our optician partner completes each sunglasses prescription by hand, and undertakes a quality inspection before shipping out your final product.

Can I email my prescription to VALLON later?

Yes. We currently do not have a form to submit your glasses prescription at the point of purchase.

Once you have completed your order of a VALLON Rx (prescription) product, you will receive an email with details on how to send your glasses prescription details to us.

Please note, once you have submitted your glasses prescription by email, we cannot guarantee that we are able to help with any edits or changes to your prescription. Please make sure that the glasses prescription you submit is correct, and up-to-date.

What if I need to change or cancel my VALLON Rx (prescription) order?

Once your order has been placed and we have received your glasses prescription, our optician partner will get to work and start to make your bespoke sunglasses. It is therefore not possible for us to assist with edits or changes to your prescription once it has been submitted. Please make sure that the prescription you submit is correct, and up-to-date.

Can I purchase VALLON Rx (prescription) glasses as a gift?

Yes, you can order Rx (prescription) glasses on behalf of another person. However, please make sure you have their latest glasses prescription details before you place the order. We will request these details from you by email after you have made your purchase.

Can I get a prescription put in my current VALLON sunglasses?

At the moment, we are not able to update existing pairs of VALLONs with prescription lenses. We would require you to purchase a new pair of VALLON Rx (prescription) sunglasses.

I have ordered VALLON Rx (prescription) sunglasses in the past. Do you still have my prescription on file?

No. We are unable to use previously submitted prescriptions to fulfil new orders.
